As an editor for "DREAM" Magazine, I have had many experiences. I have recently been deeply involved in a "Life Experience" that has taken place within myself by way of the Barbizon Modeling School. With trepidation I entered their doorway. As the months passed, the faces became friends and advisors, answering my every question from the wisdom of their experiences. I now have much more self-confidence. Surely there are more adventures ahead of me in my journey through life. I will embrace each challenge and know that I will be better for it, just as I know that Barbizon has made me a better person.

How Barbizon Changed My Life...

Hi! My name is Amanda Norris. When I first started Barbizon I didn't know what I was doing or what I supposed to do. Barbizon taught me how to become more outgoing. They took away my shyness around other people and they helped me to make friends. Barbizon also taught me to look and feel like a model. Barbizon brought out the character in me.

Attending Barbizon has given me confidence and self-esteem. I am more knowledgeable of fashion and no longer the fashion follower. I've learned the difference having confidence and self-esteem means in all areas of my life. Barbizon has given me a great gift; the confidence I lacked.

Barbizon School of Modeling helped my life in many ways. It helped increase my self-esteem through numerous exercises designed to improve voice production, posture, poise and walking techniques. I had fun while learning vital skills which help me in my everyday life to leave positive and lasting impressions on those around me. My experiences at Barbizon have changed my outlook on life and will definitely have a positive impact that should last forever.

It's been a year since I auditioned for Barbizon. Who would have thought that in one year, I would be featured in over one hundred magazines and billboard ads..."WOW"! One day I'm in London, the next I am in New York City! Now, I am a regular on the soap All My Children and have had nothing but thrilling success. Barbizon taught me the ropes of the modeling industry, and how to survive in this business without getting knocked over. I have nothing but respect for the modeling school Barbizon. What a team, I'm very blessed to be a part of their company.

It was only about a year ago that I had the dream of becoming a model. One day I came across an ad for Barbizon School and decided to go check it out. At my first class, I was so nervous and I remember thinking "why in the world am I here...I'm not pretty enough to be a model". I thought I was going to die once I got on the runway and saw all of these eyes looking at me! My instructor said she believed that I had what it takes and that alone boosted my confidence level. Coming out of Barbizon I feel like I could model in front of the world without blinking twice. Barbizon was absolutely the best confidence lifter possible.

Recently, I competed in the Pre-Teen Miss Oklahoma Pageant. I didn't win, but I realized how much I had learned at Barbizon, like how to sit in an interview and how to stand. I feel like now that I have completed my Barbizon training, I'm coming out a better person, because I now know the proper skills to becoming a model and I am ready to try to start a modeling career.

Barbizon enhanced my life by making me feel good about myself on the inside and the way that I appear on the outside. I use the skills that I learned at Barbizon everyday, from how to apply make-up to how to walk. The people there encourage you to set goals and how to accomplish them. Barbizon is a wonderful experience to have.
